Willcox Energy is developing lithium brine exploration projects in Nevada, Texas, and Alberta, Canada. Unprecedented demand for lithium presents a significant opportunity for early investors. Based on our locations, accumulation of very promising geological and geophysical findings, and highly capable management team, our venture is well-positioned among peers to be the most exciting domestic lithium brine exploration project in the United States. Willcox, and our like-minded partners, are poised to help secure the US and Canada's domestic lithium supply chain and support the energy transition.

We entered into a joint venture with Helix Mineral Technologies for the exploration, extraction, and the refining of battery-grade lithium from brine.

HeLix’s high-performance technology sustainably optimizes lithium extraction from brines and achieves competitive economics using its proprietary HELiXSORB extraction media and unique HELiXDLE process plant design.

HeLiX’s “hub and spoke” business model is designed to integrate independent lithium resource developers within regional HeLiX battery-grade lithium production hubs.

Willcox Energy, within its international expansion outlook, is targeting many different regions in the world for the exploration and production of battery grade lithium through DLE process. The main targeted region being the MENA region with a focus on the UAE, the region's pioneer in new technologies, R&D and innovations in green and renewable energies.

Extraction

Direct Lithium Extraction

To meet today’s environmental initiatives of reducing carbon-intensity in operations, the use of direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology will contribute to a more sustainable lithium supply relative to current evaporative brine and hard rock mining operations in terms of land use, water use, time to market, and greenhouse gas emissions. From lab experiments and pilot plant results, a lithium composite with 99.5% purity was obtained.

Lithium is present in several forms that are extremely soluble in water. Since soluble materials cannot be removed by physical separation methods, pre-treating the brine to form an insoluble lithium precipitate is needed for their separation.

With Helix Mineral Technologies' joint venture partner LiEP Resources, a DLE technology was developed. It's simple, reliable, effective, and eco-friendly. The extraction process occurs in an expedited manner, for hundreds of thousands of barrels of formation brine must be processed every day in order to produce a marketable amount of lithium composite.

Research & Development

A Clever Approach

The versatility advantage in Willcox's circular Lithium economy concept through its CLEVER approach, is the possibility of implementing its different components, whether in whole or in part, in any location worldwide. Therefore, the creation of an R&D research center focusing on developing battery power storage technologies dedicated to industrial use and power banks is a normal complementary process to lithium extraction and an extremely crucial factor for the evolution of the company in terms of technology transfer to our partners. The manufacturing process is the natural result of a successful R&D. Studies will thereafter determine technically and economically viable locations around the globe for the manufacturing process. Along With our partners in the USA, Canada and Europe, in the fields of power storage technologies and battery manufacturing, Willcox Energy will be at the forefront of the technology expansion and transfer processes via joint ventures, partnerships or franchises. Predetermined locations through market and feasibility studies will determine needs and goals to be met for existing, as well as emerging EV and electronics markets worldwide.
